You don’t need this workshop. You’ve got design all figured out. It’s about gut feelings, empathy, and pretty colors. No need to read any further, right? Wrong. Design is also a science, and there is no one more capable of teaching you all about design’s serious side than Simon Collison, a.k.a. Colly.

It will be an afternoon bursting with ideas and methods. This workshop is essential for those with analytical minds (looking at you, developers) who want to improve and better understand design processes. Colly will explain the science behind the decisions we make and the meanings they convey.

But, if Colly’s photo is any indication, he doesn’t think you have the moxie to give yourself over to design’s analytical side. Since we’re talking about design, the most powerful force in the world, which could blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question, “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya, punk?

Please note: Workshops take place on Thursday (October 21st). Entrance to the conference on Friday (October 22nd) requires a separate ticket. You can attend a workshop on Thursday, even if you do not plan to attend the conference on Friday. We will be giving away four tickets for Friday, October 22nd, to people who register for workshops. (One free Friday ticket is being given away for each workshop. Winners will be chosen randomly.)
